Grant Awarded for Out of School Club

Lincolnshire Montessori is celebrating after securing a grant of £65,000 from Lindsey Action Zone (LAZ) towards the development of an out of school club in Caistor.

The grant is being used to secure the conversion and refurbishment of former barns into appropriate play space for after school and holiday provision. The group will be able to offer 32 places for children aged 4-11 from the local community. The project will also create 8 permanent jobs.

LAZ LEADER RDPE funding is a European Union initiative delivered through Defra and emda. Lincolnshire County Council, East Lindsey District Council, West Lindsey District Council also contribute financially to the programme.

Lincolnshire Montessori Director Theresa Ellerby added: “we are thrilled and very grateful to have received this support from the Lindsey Action Zone which has enabled us to make our new service a reality. We can now provide fun and stimulating activities in a wonderful space for local children outside the school day. .”
