Quality

We pride ourselves on the quality of food we serve. Our cooks work hard at producing healthy, enticing and balanced menus. We have sought advice from the Caroline Walker Trust on nutrition and we constantly review our menus in light of this guidance.
Both our kitchens have received 5 Star ratings from respective Environmental Health Departments We aim for meal times to be happy, social occasions for staff and children alike. Our nutrition and food management policy includes:
Individual dietary requirements will be respected
Staff will set a good example of good table manners
Cultural differences in eating habits will be respected
Children will be encouraged to say 'please' and 'thank you'
Children will be encouraged to wait before starting their meal until all others have been served
Conversation will be encouraged but not shouting
Any child who shows signs of distress will have their food removed with the minimum of fuss
Children not on a special diet will be encouraged to eat a small amount of everything
Children who are slow eaters will be given time and not be rushed
Quantities served will take into account the ages of the children
Menus will be displayed for parents/carers to see.
We will endeavour to source organic and GM free products where possible.
