Our priority for our youngest children is a secure and warm relationship between each child and a their key worker, who is an experienced and qualified nursery nurse. This interaction is warm and caring, and children's individual needs are responded to. Partnership with parents is also a crucial part of this relationship.

Our environment, both indoors and outdoors, is designed with our youngest children in mind. Indoors it is light, spacious and comfortable. Rooms are light, calm, uncluttered and designed with very young children's growing independence in mind. Outside, Children spend time in the nursery garden on a regular basis.

Activities and resources are used which stimulate the child's exploration of the environment and the natural world. Treasure Baskets and Heuristic Play form the basis of resources at this age.

We also run a weekly Treasure Basket Group at Caistor, for toddlers and their parents/carers which is Free of charge (thanks to support from Caistor Children's Centre). More information here
